The chinese manhwa School Shock by Sun Heng will be adapted for summer, the 23th of July 2015.

Synopsis: School Shock takes place in the year 2017, and a new generation arms race has begun. Shun Hao Xuan is a normal teenager that plans on simply living with no real goals. That all changes one day when he’s taken hostage by insurgents. He is the first one chosen to be executed, but he is miraculously saved by a beautiful girl in strange battle armor.

XX AD, a new generation of arms race is beginning. "Vanguards" are the new type of weapons being used on the battlefield. Liu Li is a Vanguard that is about to retire. In her last 380 days she receives her final mission...

Not sure what to think of this. Doesn't sound very original with the whole 'big boobed hot girl saving the guys life' thing then it turns into an ecchi action harem, but I could be wrong seeing that I haven't read it. But the PV looked okay. I'll give it a try it if it gets a Japanese dub maybe.

@Dylan21 The Manhwa isn't that ecchi, idk what they'll do with the anime! the sources are in french i didn't found english version for the moment...

The action is good and the story is average but quite fun!
Plus the antagonist is a cliche mad scientist which are always kind of fun!

Ah okay, saw it has an average rating of 7.52 on MAL so seems like one of those series that may not be good but still is fun to read.

Based on the synopsis alone, this sounds really generic. Hopefully it has a lot more going for it than it first seems.

Only problem is the anime looks meh. Will see the reactions for it first. Also this should be in Hummingbird's database as Anime Influenced as it looks like anime and will be getting a Japanese dub. Should probably post in the missing/incorrect thread with that article.

Not really, anime stand for japanese, korean and chinese series.

Also the manhwa is pretty popular in China so even if it's great it's not bad either ^^

If I'm not completely stupid I'm pretty sure chinese comics are called "manhua", not "manhwa".

Not really interested in it.

I could be even more of a smartass than I've already been and correct you on that, but it would still boil down to me agreeing with you that it shouldn't be listed as "Anime Influenced" ^^

Yes and no, Manhua are indeed Chinese while Manhwa are Korean but in that case it's a Chinese Manhwa.

This is pretty tricky since a lot of webtoons are in fact Korean manhua...
