I stumbled upon HB on accident and had never been a part of a community before this one (this is really still the only one), so I figured I'd give itoa shot. I was still discovering who I sas in terms of my taste and rules of evaluation when I first joined back in 2013, so I took it as a learning experience/ self-discovery opportunity, and boy has it been both. Back then though, the forums were a lot more active than they are now, so it was easy to get involved in many threads. A lot of the users that I enjoy following a lot on the main site now were also very active on the forums then. Some of this was partly due to the chat threads, some just liked the forum community more than they do now and some were still in high school and not slammed with college work. In short, the forum and main site communities were a lot less segregated than they are now.
After there was somewhat of an exodus last year, and many of the most active users stopped using the forums, I found myself posting in threads less often and mostly just stuck to the main site and moderating the forums in the background. With school work becoming heavier and heavier as I reach my last years of college, it's kind of rare that I get to hold conversations and discussions on the forums as often as I used to.
Maybe someone will say something insightful. Maybe not.
@David I got your back.
