Reminiscing of Redline, Reminiscing of Redline, very heavy homosexualy innuendo, and THAT ENDING.
That's all I have to say. Sorry I don't have any screen caps or anything.
Anyway, I thought it was good episode. The visuals were pretty freaking sweet, but that's kind of a standard with this show.

there were a lot of references tonight. Redline felt the most obvious, also a few nods to Star Wars (particularly the ep 1 podracing), got some Outlaw Star vibes as well.
i have no clue what was going on with the ending. i guess going past the speed of light into a gay bishounen makes you become a god.
here's some screenies

Lol'd @ Dandy giving Prince the finger.
Ohh,what a surprise Prince is gay.

This episode reminds me so much of Redline! The colours, the art..
even the guys that were shooting at prince because they were racing on their planet xD

Much more entertaining episode than the last one.

I was starting to lose hope I'm dandy after the last 2 episodes, thankfully this was one of the better episodes, behind episode 4. But one thing this show has been consistently good at is giving us really good endings to each episode, they almost always Rock.
I'm a bit scared for next episode, as they hinted that it was gonna be more sad and a bit serious. Dandy is never good at being serious.

You liked episode 5 And 6 more than this? I'm surprised, I thought everyone hated 6.

Onnestly i forgot on what the other episode was about?
mazz — 2014-02-16T20:14:52-05:00 — #10
Episode 5 was about the little girl and episode 6 was about the vest aliens vs the underwater ones.

Oh yeah the little girls story was awesome but the aliens story was horrible beyond repair lol

I disagree - episode 5 was the strongest Dandy ep so far. The serious moments were very touching and added some depth to Dandy.

Not everyone wants touching moments in anime..onnestly i thought it was going to pure action guess i was wrong...

even that would get boring after a while. you have to mix it up a little bit.

uhhhhhhhhhhhh. I'm seriously considering dropping this show. I had such high expectations and after the first 7 episodes I can proudly say I've lost interest. Sure I'm tuning in every week, but it's because I keep hoping Space Dandy will turn things around. At first I thought this anime would be alot like Kill La Kill in its antics, but I fucking love Kill La Kill. I can't get enough while this show bores me to death. I'll admit this episode was better than the last, but I'm not feeling this series overall. I really don't like the lack of continuity. Anyway I actually hope the show takes a more serious tone because I'm not liking it right now. sorry for the snooze fest of a post, but I need to get that off my chest and move to a better anime

I also thought it was boring it nearly made me sleep but the kill la kill sentence(forget it)

This show is impossible to predict. I'd rather bet a million dollars on the next episode of Pupa being good than putting the same amount into guessing the ending of a Space Dandy episode.

I might like to say I completely agree. The show is though, too unpredictable for me. Every episode goes in any direction. You might as well eliminate any categorization because the only thing the episodes share in common is Dandy and his love for Boobs.

this used to bother me, but i've been thinking about this. i think every time a character dies, and the next episode they are alive, that this is actually an alternate timeline Dandy unknowingly created. we have seen that he has some strange ability to travel through space time, and he seems to be unaware of this. while they could do a better job portraying this, and this is only a theory, this is what i think is happening. and later on, i hope that this will be expanded on and a larger plot might develop.
they sure are taking their time with it, though.
