That was that.
It was better than... what came before, but it was still pretty dumb.
And joking about the entire arc could've been solved in one episode, doesn't make it any less dumb.
So, here's the thing with this show. It feels more like a parody of Dragon Ball than it does feel like Dragon Ball. The Villian went through about 10 different forms within the last couple episodes, and everyone's character traits have been reduced one one single one - and then magnified by a thousand. Goku was a boy living in the woods who didn't know about the world, so now his main trait is being mentally challenged, etc. etc.
Most of the set pieces are just retreads of previous happenings (Father-Son Gallick Gun / Father-Son Kamehameha - almost shot by shot.
I can't deny that there are some interesting ideas here, but the execution is lacking. It could've worked as a 90 - 120-minute film, but not 20 episodes. At some point it even started circling itself.
But credit where credit is due: The animation and choreography has improved drastically, but the directing is still lacking. And they need more than 3 music tracks.
The Manga thus far has been the better experience by far, both in art and execution and writing. It's fast and condensed. Oh well.
