@Nuck I think reviving it would be a great idea
This is a great post, thank you for taking your time to write this all out. Looking at the GitHub link and how terminology is used I think there would be many people who may have a hard time understanding what is posted there. The same applies to the Change Log that is already in use. The updates there are a little vague at times or seemingly written for someone who'd already have a general understanding of terminology and changes. To have a changelog to keep general users up to date of information such as changes, current bugs, or upcoming server shut downs for example would be quite helpful.
I was thinking though that such changes could be placed within a pinned forum page in the site news section of the forums, or the main page of the forums; possibly on the main page of Hummingbird.me as well.
This would help in
- Unnecessary threads / duplicate threads
- Creating a central location for users to look for technical site updates
- Lessening confusion over what is a bug and what is supposed to be the way that it is (purposefully non- functioning features)
- Important announcement feature (Similar to yesterdays text box stating Hummingbird was aware of the dashboard issue and was working on it)
These are just my thoughts, hopefully they'll be helpful.
