you can, but they are still public, and until they are private, you shouldn't be able to control "acceptable users" vs. "people you hate" from being in your group. and it isn't like "oh you need xy and z to kick the user" it is more like
- are they causing an issue?
- is there enough to warrant kicking them?
- could kicking them from said group warrant abuse?
1 and 2 are yes, and 3 is a no go ahead, but if 3 is yes tread lightly, and if 1 and 2 are no, then they really shouldn't be kicked for any reason what so ever.
If you rather require 2 admins to agree to kick the user aka the owner and or another mod/site admin then that should work.
what i want is stricter control on abuse of the system when i'm doing nothing wrong, and another user just hates me and keeps kicking me from a group after i have addressed his concerns and vowed to no cause problems for him. i have just as much of a right to be in that group as anyone else, no matter if the owner of that group hates me or not.
yes you should, but kicking someone from the group or banning them is something that should require at least 2 people to prevent the things stated in the OP. in private groups you should have every right, but in public groups they aren't exclusive clubs of users that would otherwise be "acceptable"
it actually doesn't if someone is spamming shit then they should be kicked and there isn't much for an admin to do or check. is the content relevant? does the content fit what the owner/mods have set out as being acceptable for that group? if no then kick, otherwise no. it also wouldn't prevent you from removing their posts either. so yeah.
